Human brain overview for biotech and artificial intelligence development (part 5)
A chemical element, in chemistry, is any one of the simplest chemical substances that cannot be decomposed in a chemical reaction. Chemical elements consist of atoms which have the same number of protons.
Chemical, as an adjective, means of or relating to chemistry. Chemical, as a noun, in chemistry and sciences, means any specific chemical element or chemical compound or alloy.
Chemistry is the branch of natural science that deals with the composition and constitution of substances and the changes that they undergo as a consequence of alterations in the constitution of their molecules.
Substance means physical matter; material.
Chemical compound, in chemistry, is any substance formed by the union of two or more chemical elements in a fixed ratio, the union being a chemical bond.
Chemical bond, in chemistry, is any of several attractive forces that serve to bind atoms together to form molecules.
Attractive means causing attraction; having the quality of attracting by inherent force.
Attraction means the tendency to attract.
To attract means to pull toward without touching.
A force, in physics, is a physical quantity that denotes ability to push, pull, twist or accelerate a body and which has a direction and is measured in a unit dimensioned in mass × distance/time² (ML/T²)—that has the SI unit of newton (N), and CGS unit of dyne (dyn).
To push means to apply a force to (an object) such that it moves away from the person or thing applying the force.
To pull means to apply a force to (an object) so that it comes toward the person or thing applying the force.
To twist is to turn the ends of something, usually thread, rope etc., in opposite directions, using force.
To accelerate is to cause to move faster; to quicken the motion of; to add to the speed of. In physics, to cause a change of velocity.
Velocity, in physics, is a vector quantity that denotes the rate of change of position with respect to time, combining speed with a directional component.
Vector, in mathematics, is a directed quantity, one with both magnitude and direction; the signed difference between two points; an ordered tuple representing such.
A magnitude is the absolute or relative size, extent or importance of something; in mathematics, a number, assigned to something, such that it may be compared to others numerically.
A tuple, in set theory, is a finite sequence of terms.
Set theory, in mathematics, is the mathematical theory of sets.
A set, in set theory, is a collection of zero or more objects, possibly infinite in size, and disregarding any order or repetition of the objects which may be contained within it.
Finite means having an end or limit; (of a quantity), finite means constrained by bounds; (of a set), finite means whose number of elements is a natural number.
A natural number, in mathematics, is a positive integer or a non-negative integer.
An integer is a number that is not a fraction; an element of the infinite and numerable set.
A fraction, in arithmetic, is a ratio of two numbers, the numerator and the denominator, usually written one above the other and separated by a horizontal bar.
Arithmetic is the mathematics of numbers (integers, rational numbers, real numbers, or complex numbers) under the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
A numerator, in arithmetic, is the number or expression written above the line in a fraction.
A number is an abstract entity used to describe quantity. A number, in mathematics, is an element of one of several sets: natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, real numbers, complex numbers, and sometimes extensions such as hypercomplex numbers, etc.
