Human brain overview for biotech and artificial intelligence development (part 7)

Testable means susceptible to being tested; with respect to the scientific method, capable of being proven true or false.

Observation is the act of noting and recording some event; or the record of such noting.

An instrument is a tool, implement used for manipulation or measurement.

An implement is a tool or instrument for working with.

Verifiable means able to be verified or confirmed.

An experimentation, in sciences, is a set of actions and observations, performed to verify or falsify a hypothesis or to research a causal relationship between phenomena.

Verify means to substantiate or prove the truth of something; to confirm or test the truth or accuracy of something.

Falsify means to prove to be false.

A hypothesis, in sciences, used loosely, is a tentative conjecture explaining an observation, phenomenon or scientific problem that can be tested by further observation, investigation and/or experimentation. A hypothesis is an assumption taken to be true for the purpose of argument or investigation.

A conjecture is a statement or an idea which is unproven, but is thought to be true; a guess. A conjecture is a supposition based upon incomplete evidence; a hypothesis.

Scientific means of or having to do with science. Scientific means having the quality of being derived from, or consistent with, the scientific method. Scientific means in accord with procedures, methods, conduct and accepted conventions of modern science.

A science is a particular discipline or branch of learning, especially one dealing with measurable or systematic principles rather than intuition or natural ability. Science is the collective discipline of study or learning acquired through the scientific method; the sum of knowledge gained from such methods and discipline. Science is knowledge derived from scientific disciplines, scientific method, or any systematic effort.

The scientific method is a method of discovering knowledge about the natural world based in making falsifiable predictions (hypotheses), testing them empirically, and developing theories that match known data from repeatable physical experimentation.

Falsifiable means logically capable of being proven false.

A problem is a question to be answered.

To test is to put to the proof; to prove the truth, genuineness, or quality of by experiment, or by some principle or standard; to try.

Investigation is the act of investigating; the process of inquiring into or following up; research, especially patient or thorough inquiry or examination.

To investigate is to inquire into or study in order to ascertain facts or information. To investigate is to examine, look into, or scrutinize in order to discover something hidden or secret. To investigate is to conduct an inquiry or examination.

To inquire is to make an inquiry or an investigation.

Inquiry is the act of inquiring; a seeking of information by asking questions; interrogation; a question or questioning. Inquiry is search for truth, information, or knowledge; examination of facts or principles; research; investigation.

Research is diligent inquiry or examination to seek or revise facts, principles, theories, applications, etc.; laborious or continued search after truth.

Causal means of, relating to, or being a cause of something; causing.

A cause is the source of, or reason for, an event or action; that which produces or effects a result.

A phenomenon is a thing or being, event or process, perceptible through senses; or a fact or occurrence thereof. A phenomenon is a knowable thing or event.

Knowable means capable of being known, understood or comprehended.

Kaluza-Klein theory, in physics, is a model (not believed to be literally true) developed by physicists Theodor Kaluza and Oskar Klein that attempted to combine gravity and electromagnetism by adding a fifth dimension to our four-dimensional spacetime. A Kaluza-Klein theory, in physics, is any of a number of theories that try to explain forces by adding extra dimensions to our spacetime.
