Biomolecule synthesis overview for biotech and artificial intelligence development (part 3)

Let’s continue going over the basic knowledge that is required for developing one or more ultra-low cost biomolecule synthesis technologies, so that we can advance human immortality biotech, neurotech, and artificial intelligence. Let’s rock!

A magnet is a piece of material that attracts some metals by magnetism.

Magnetism, in physics, is the property of being magnetic. Magnetism, in physics, is the science which treats of magnetic phenomena.

Magnetic means of, relating to, operating by, or caused by magnetism. Magnetic means having the properties of a magnet, especially the ability to draw or pull.

Magnetic field, in physics, is a condition in the space around a magnet or electric current in which there is a detectable magnetic force and two magnetic poles are present.

A magnetic pole is either of the two points, near the ends of a magnet, at which the magnetic lines of force converge. A magnetic pole is either of the two locations on a planet’s surface at which the planet’s magnetic field lines are vertical.

A quantum number, in quantum mechanics, is one of certain integers or half-integers that specify the state of a quantum mechanical system (such as an electron in an atom).

Atomic orbital, in quantum mechanics and chemistry, is a mathematical function that describes the wave-like behavior of either one electron or a pair of electrons in an atom. This function can be used to calculate the probability of finding any electron of an atom in any specific region around the atom’s nucleus. Atomic orbital is the physical region or space where an electron can be calculated to be present, as defined by the particular mathematical form of the orbital.

Molecular orbital, in quantum mechanics and chemistry, is the quantum mechanical behaviour of an electron in a molecule describing the probability of the electron’s particular position and energy; approximated by a linear combination of atomic orbitals.

Temperature is a measure of cold or heat, often measurable with a thermometer. Temperature, in thermodynamics, is a property of macroscopic amounts of matter that serves to gauge the average intensity of the random actual motions of the individually mobile particulate constituents.

Triple bond, in chemistry, is a covalent bond in which three electron pairs (instead of the usual one) are shared between two atoms; most common between carbon atoms and carbon or nitrogen atoms, but a few other forms are known. Symbolized in formulae as ≡.

Carbon is the chemical element (symbol C) with an atomic number of 6. It can be found in pure form for example as graphite, a black, shiny and very soft material, or diamond, a colourless, transparent, crystalline solid and the hardest known material.

Ketone, in organic chemistry, is a homologous series of organic molecules whose functional group is an oxygen atom joined to a carbon atom—by a double bond—in a carbon-hydrogen based molecule.

Homologous, in chemistry, means belonging to a series of aliphatic organic compounds that differ only by the addition of a CH₂group.

Aliphatic, in organic chemistry, means of a class of organic compounds in which the carbon atoms are arranged in an open chain.

Acid anhydride, in organic chemistry, is a class of organic compounds having two acyl groups bonded to the same oxygen atom. They react with water to give carboxylic acids.

Acyl, in organic chemistry, is any of class of organic radicals, RCO-, formed by the removal of a hydroxyl group from a carboxylic acid.

Parent compound, in chemistry, is the simplest member of a class of compounds, from which the others are formally obtained by substituting radicals for hydrogen atoms.

Unstable, in chemistry, means readily decomposable.

To decompose is to separate or break down (something) into its components; to disintegrate or fragment.

Reactive, in chemistry, means that readily takes part in reactions.
